Twice good news from CDS!
After long months of planning, the construction of our new office building has started! The building will be 4500 square feet of heated space on 1 1/2 acres located on Hwy 290 West near Industrial Oaks Blvd. If you are driving by that area, please keep an eye on this construction site, it should be moving quickly. As construction progresses, this newsletter will give updates to construction techniques and green features being used.

Cammi Klier and Debra Blessman
After 10 years, Cammi Klier, the founder and principal of CDS, realized the potential for growth in the business was more than she could handle on her own. Cammi knew finding a partner that shared in her approach to building design and in her business ideas & goals was essential. After a thoughtful decision, Custom Design Services is pleased to welcome Debra Blessman to our team. As a partner Debra brings with her 27 years of experience and knowledge in the design & construction industry as well as many years of managerial skills. Debra loves her work and will quickly add she’s always loved it so it’s not really working to her.
In 1980 Debra graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Housing and Design. Her first design work experience was working for a mobile home manufacturer in Ft. Worth, Texas. That experience actually made a big impact on the direction of her career due to the emphasis on code in that industry, as well as designing within limited size parameters. With a move to Austin, she worked for a large manufactured home systems company in Georgetown at the time. From there Debra worked for Nash Philips/Copus homebuilder, Kipp Flores Folmer Architects and for the last 14 years with Cornerstone Group Architects. In her experiences working for home builders and architects she gained more and more responsibility in management as well as in design and other industry skills. Debra is also a professional member of the American Institute of Building Design and Texas Institute of Building Design.
